I just wanted to write and say thank you to Woody Dawson. My wife and I were looking at a property that was just coming out of foreclosure and we were excited about fixing it up to make a great home for our young family. After a very thorough examination of the home and property, Woody made it very clear to us that this house was not just a fixer upper. A very significant reality in purchasing a home is no home is perfect and these imperfections can be costly, justifying the importance of a quality home inspection. Another unfortunate reality I have discovered is not all home inspectors are equally effective. Woody Dawson when compared to other home inspectors is in a league of his own, his credentials speak volumes and he will find flaws most inspectors miss. When I was referred to Mr. Dawson I was forewarned just how thorough he would be, well he exceeded my expectations and by a lot. In addition, his report was very impressive and included detailed color pictures of all significant problems which proved an asset during renegotiations. Dear Woody,

I would like to thank you for your thorough, professional inspection of the new addition and remodeling of our home located in Cheshire. Having spent a very large sum of money, we were unhappy with a number of unresolved construction quality issues that were outstanding.

Your expertise verified the problems we knew we had and enabled us to identify problems that we were not even aware existed. But, what I find most impressive and thankful for was your desire to help us get the issues resolved. Your prompt response and follow up helped us deal with an exasperating situation. Our contractor had failed to respond to the complaints we filed with the Better Business Bureau and the State Consumer Protection Agency. I have worked with Woody Dawson of Dawson REI several times now, whenever I need a property thoroughly inspected.  He is always willing to discuss matters with me before hand, during, and after any inspections.  In fact, I have talked with Woody above and beyond the inspection service, to include other advice on which carpenter or electrician could help.  He is a wealth of knowledge on the subject of a sound homestead.

I trust everything Woody advises me on during an inspection.  He always keys me into an area of concern and he states the matters of fact in such a way, that it is clearly communicated to me when I need to have that area further inspected. For example, he will make sure I understand when it is necessary to have a licensed electrician inspect further.   Since purchasing a home is a very complex and involved transaction, you need to know you’ve hired the right person to do the inspection.
